SANCHAR SAATHI Portal : Mobile Security by DoT

The Sanchar Saathi portal is a citizen-centric initiative by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT)

• Empowers mobile subscribers : The portal allows subscribers to :

• Know the number of connections issued in their name

• Disconnect connections they don't need.

• Block or trace lost mobile phones.

• Check the authenticity of devices when buying a new or old phone.

• Report unnecessary or unauthorized mobile connections.

• Report suspected fraud communications and Unsolicited Commercial Communications (UCC)

• Increases awareness: he portal increases awareness about government initiatives.

• Enhances security: The portal enhances the security of mobile subscribers.

The portal contains various modules, including:

• TAFCOP: Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection.

• CEIR: A module that allows users to:

• Visit the official website CEIR Portal.

• Submit a form to unblock a CEIR user account.

• Chakshu: A facility to report suspected fraud communications and UCC.
